The Education Partnership
NON-PROFIT PARTNER · 2021

Matt’s Makerspace with The Education Partnership is located adjacent to their STEAM lending library, and supplements the STEAM kits that TEP distributes. The Education Partnership uses their space to encourage and support teachers in engaging in maker activities, and to help teachers bring these skills and tools into their curriculums. Their facilities include a 3D printer, Cricut, and an embroidery sewing machine. They host monthly STEAM Maker Mondays, where they share the how-to of projects for classroom use, encouraging integration of makerspace programs within schools. These have included a scissor lift project guide and discussion of other education initiatives like The Beauty of STEM.

Through partnership with Computer Reach and the STEM Coding Lab, they provide resources and workshops for teachers. They are a resource for schools to extend their STEM and Maker education, and to showcase the possibilities of a makerspace.
